Dutch Technology Creates a Smart Home Away From Home
Just one year after the launch of OnHub wireless router for the home, Google has announced a partnership with iconic Dutch firm Philips Lighting which presses all the right buttons.
The birthday surprise means you can turn on the lights wherever you are just be typing “On here” into any browser be it on you tablet, laptop or smart phone.
Hue lights is the first smart device to be operated directly via the smart home router. Consequently, users can turn the lights on or off without having to download the Philips app.

Hue lights can be set up any way you like, to help you wake up in the morning or switch on the lights when you come home in the dark. You can make it look like you are at home every evening even if you are out or on holiday or dimmed while you watch a late night movie. It can even let you know when you get a telephone call or tell you what the weather’s like outside. You can switch to Hue lights simply by replacing the screw in light bulb in your ordinary light fitting. The bulbs can dim, pulse and even change colour. It’s an idea that could really light up your life.
