Holland is partner country at 2014 Hannover Messe trade fair
The Netherlands will be the official partner country for the 2014 Hannover Messe, the world’s premier industrial trade fair.
A world leader in the high-tech sector
The status as partner country will give Dutch companies, trade associations and research institutes an extra opportunity to showcase their wares. The Netherlands is a world leader in the high-tech sector, turning out products for use in a wide variety of domains, including health care, lighting, microprocessing, laboratory equipment, aircraft, logistics and sustainable energy. Employing more than 400,000 people, the high-tech industry is a mainstay of the Dutch economy. In 2013, the trade fair’s partner country was Russia. In 2012, it was China, and in 2011, France. The Netherlands was last partner country in 1991.
The Hannover Messe is the world’s premier industrial trade fair. In 2014, it will be held from 7 to 11 April. It will accommodate 6,550 exhibitors from 62 countries. Annually, it receives 220,000 visitors from 93 countries. The event has unrivalled prestige, not only in the German business community but also among journalists, politicians and opinion leaders from around the world.
